Amanda’s Cheese Pound Cake,My daughter Amanda found this recipe in a old church cookbook, that I have had for years. Its the kind of cake that you want to stick your face in the pan and never come up for air.,This recipe was a hit at my house. I made it for Father’s Day and everyone loved it! It is a really big cake so I baked mine in a tube cake pan. used cake flour, added vanilla paste and almond flavoring. The almond flavor works well with these types of cakes. I have made many pound cakes in the past but this one really was the best and my husband agreed. The cream cheese does make the texture of the cake amazing. I will be making the again and again.,The addition of cream cheese really does make the texture of this pound cake amazing. I served it with some yoghurt and fresh fruit for a summer-y dessert. So good!
