Apple N Oats

Features:
    Cuisine:

I have made this twice in the past week! It is very versatile. used coconut oil and cashew milk the first time and butter with whole milk the 2nd time. Both were equally delicious! I have enjoyed many oatmeal recipes, including baked oatmeal, but this "fried apple" oatmeal recipe is my favorite oatmeal recipe of all time!!! My husband really liked it too and asked me to whip up a batch for dessert after supper tonight! A sincere thank you for sharing this great recipe!

Apple ‘n’ Oats,Just something a little different for your morning oatmeal. The simmering apples, brown sugar and cinnamon are sure to make the morning a little brighter.,I have made this twice in the past week! It is very versatile. used coconut oil and cashew milk the first time and butter with whole milk the 2nd time. Both were equally delicious! I have enjoyed many oatmeal recipes, including baked oatmeal, but this “fried apple” oatmeal recipe is my favorite oatmeal recipe of all time!!! My husband really liked it too and asked me to whip up a batch for dessert after supper tonight! A sincere thank you for sharing this great recipe!,Great recipe, my little ones gave it 10 stars!!!! used slow cooking oats, and soaked them for 12 hrs to make them more digestible, then drained them really well. used coconut oil in place of the butter, and chopped the apples really fine (my picky son doesn’t like “stuff” in his oatmeal) used 2 tbsps of maple syrup in place of brown sugar and cooked the apples well before adding the oats and milk. I didn’t really measure the oats or the milk. I think used closer to 2/3 cup of oats, and just added the milk until it was the right consistency. We topped each bowl with a little more syrup and my kids gobbled it up. It was just enough to serve 2 preschoolers. I’ve been looking for a home made oatmeal to replace the pre-packaged stuff I’ve been using. This recipe is a winner, thanks so much for posting it :D:D
