Applesauce Muffins,With this recipe you can make a few muffins now, and save the rest of the batter in the frige for up to 2 weeks, when you want to make more.,Great! HEALTHIER VERSION: Use whole wheat flour and add 3/4 cup of milk. Use only half the requested sugar. I meant to cut replace half the butter by applesauce as suggested by a reviewer but I ran out of applesauce. Added 1 cup of raisins and 1 cup of sliced almonds. I did not feel like clove so I put nutmeg instead. 1.5 dozen recipe gives about 23 muffins, 70’s size (small). It’s easy to recalculate the recipe to 1.5 dozen on this website. Tasty and super easy, a keeper!,I needed a muffin recipe using ingredients I had on hand, and this fit the bill. Loved the spices. I needed to bake them a few minutes longer because I really filled the muffin tin up to the rim!
