Bacon-Wrapped Little Boys, In these politically correct times, this recipe should, I suppose, come with a warning to the mothers of little boys: that it may cause offence In Australia, cocktail frankfurts have – from time immemorial – been called little boys In this simple, super-quick recipe, the little boys are wrapped in bacon, and then microwaved Then do with them what you will! Use them as the basic ingredient in an upmarket hot-dog, with whatever additional ingredients – salads, cheeses, salsas, sauces – take your fancy, or serve them unadorned as coctail frankfurts – as an appetiser This version of this rather old-fashioned recipe – popular in the seventies and eighties – is made in the microwave For the best results, use skinless frankfurts For Australians, use Don’s skinless frankfurts To the best of my knowledge, there is no equivalent recipe for Bacon-Wrapped Little Girls! This recipe has been adapted from one in Australian chef Margaret Fulton’s book ‘Microwave Cooking’ , These little snackies came together really quickly I broiled them for a couple of minutes to get the bacon crisped up a little bit more We enjoyed these while watching football today, they are the perfect munchie for sports!, So easy to make, even easier to eat I think these are great Perfect for a snack or light lunch I would have prefered the bacon to crisp up a bit, mine looked a bit insipid They still disappeared quickly, regardless of the fact they were a bit pale Very yummy-thanks
