Directions
Baked Cranberry Acorn Squash,,I found this recipe too sweet, and too buttery. I did not have apples, so I added 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce. I scooped the ingredients from the squash shells and added a package of commercially pureed winter squash – it was excellent.,Excellent but a bit sweet as written, so I just cut the sugar by as much as half. I’ve added cooked sausage, which is a nice addition and sometimes nutmeg and/or cinnamon. I’ve used dried cranberries and apples softened in a little OJ, that works well also. It’s just a great easy recipe and it presents very nicely.
