Baklava Salmon (Salmon With Honey, Butter, Walnuts, and Mustard), One of my friends deemed this Baklava Salmon and the name stuck The salmon & mustard go well with the honey, butter, and walnuts We usually serve this with rice and steamed carrots or broccoli , Unsure if the melted needed to be melted, I assumed so in order to mix with the other ingredients I made more than the 16oz and increased the ingredients a bit but the fish came out very greasy and gave me a stomach ache The fish was super fresh just bough yesterday I think the combination of butter and nuts on an already fatty fish is too much, came out just drenched in fat , Ive made this a few times now Excellent! Love the sweetness of the honey with the tang of the mustard use unpasteurized honey from local beekeepers Makes a huge difference in taste Ive used walnuts and almonds and we prefer the walnuts I always toast them first to enhance the nutty flavor The first time I overcooked the salmon and it was dry and chewy Dont overcook!
