    Basic Pound Cake , A very easy recipe to follow–makes a nice dense pound cake Add coco powder for a chocolate pound cake , Great recipe! My spouse loves it and he is usually not too fond of cakes , A delicous pound cake – not too sweet, just perfect 4 eggs (in shell) for me worked out to 1/2 lb I took about a 1/3 of the batter, and added 2 tbsp dutch process cocoa, plus 1/2 tsp esspresso powder I dropped it in blobbs into the loaf pan, which produced a beautiful marbled effect! Thanks, Maya’s Mom, this is my go to pound cake now! Made for PAC Fall 2009 – You were adopted!!

    Preheat Oven to 350.

    Add All the Ingredients to a Bowl of a Cake Mixer.

    Beat on High For 7 Minutes.

    Grease a Loaf Dish.

    Pour Cake Batter Into Dish.

    Bake For 65 Minutes; Check Doneness With Toothpick or Cake Tester.

    Allow to Cool Covered With Paper Towel For 30 Minutes.

    Transfer to Cooling Rack and Allow to Cool Covered.

    Once Cooled, Cut Into Slices and Serve.
