Beef and Onion Tater Tot Casserole,I finally made this for DH the other night after hearing the (basic)recipe for years! Only wish I had made it years ago! REALLY good! (I make it a little bit different).,All these recipes are missing a main part! Sprinkle DRY ONION SOUP over hamburger before spreading CREAM OF MUSHROOM SOUP, and covering with tater tots. Bake at 375 for 45-60 minutes, while this recipe is delicious I must say there are a few issues. Issue one the beef and onion title is off considering it never calls for onions or onion powder. Issue two when you put raw beef in as it calls for it doesn’t get done in the 35 min it takes nearly an hour. I would suggest browning it first. And most of all instead of the beef being broken up the bottom turns into a huge hamburger patty the size of the dish. But had great flavor but I think with a few tweaks would be a great meal.
