Berry Nectarine Smoothie,This is a combo my 2 1/2 year old DD came up with. I let her choose what she wanted in the smoothie and just threw it all together. She’s a pretty good cook for a 2 1/2 year old, it turned out well. The addition of spinach leaves was my input merely for extra nutrition, these are optional.,Delicious and easy to prepare the night before for a breakfast on the run – that is in the car or once I get to work. I’m always glad of another smoothie recipe, so that I can vary them. With summer fruits so delicious right now this was great. used a low-fat yoghurt, which use only in smoothies: otherwise it’s Greek yoghurt and as a baby spinach lover just had to include those. They certainly ensure some added nutrition. This was delicious but next time I make this I’m going to follow DuChick’s suggestion and add some flax seeds and maybe also one of my favourite additions – for added nutrition and textural variation – some sunflower seeds. Thanks for sharing, **Mandy** and dd! Made for Gimme 5.,Hats off to your aspiring young chef, Mandy! She knows what she’s doing! I found this combination very refreshing and had the perfect amount of sweetness. I didn’t peel the nectarine and added a tablespoon of milled flax seed for extra fiber. Also used FF vanilla yogurt. No trace of the spinach showed in this deep purple healthy treat. Thanks Mandy and DD!
