Venison Steak Marinade,This is the only steak my family will eat. They do not even like NY strip any more. We have our meat processor cut our venison steaks to about 1 inch thick, then I marinate and grill to medium rare. Better than beef and better for you too! Our traditional family Christmas Eve dinner menu is always venison steak and shrimp scampi!,I couldn’t find a marinade recipe from my friend so I went to duckduckgo.com and put in best venison marinades for backstrap. As I searched, most of the recipes had items I don’t normally stock until I found this recipe. Items most people have on hand. We like frying cubed potatoes in the cast iron pan and once browned I either move the potatoes to one side or put into a container. I have sliced onions and cut up backstrap and put that into the cast iron…Only takes a short time. Some times I mixed all of it together or just leave them separate. Great marinade…I just dumped the bagful into the cast iron and then added a little flour water when it was ready and it made a small amount of gravy…THANKS!!! No changes to your marinade…perfect as is! Our Wisconsin venison isn’t gamey…more like beef!,About how long to cook this recipe in a skillet. For it is raining outside and difficult to start a fire in my grill
