Best Oatmeal Raisin Cookies,This is a family favorite that I have been making for years. It’s the most requested oatmeal cookie recipe I’ve ever made. I found it somewhere years ago, but have lost the source. The secret is soaking the raisins which makes all the difference.,I made these this morning, not bad but needed more flavor, next time I will up the cinnamon to 2 tsp rather than just the 1 and add some nutmeg, I thought these were bland. As far as the soaking the raisins in egg for an hour I didn’t do that, I did what I normally do when baking with any dried fruit and that is to put them into some water and microwave for 5 minutes, drain and use. The purpose is to hydrate them and I didn’t have an hour for soaking them. Mine took about 13 minutes to brown and crisp.,I’m making these today…should I make any changes for high altitude?
