Bishops Bread, This is a Christmas tradition in my family My mom got the recipe out of a church cookbook in the 50’s I usually make 3 loafs at a time It is wonderful! Even those who hate fruitcake love this!, Traditional recipe is for Maraschino cherries (not candied) and no dates (yuk!) Just the cherries , walnuts, and chocolate chips I suppose you could put in whatever fruit you like, but have been making this bread for over 40 years, and that is the traditional way , I was thinking about adding fresh cherries and marinate them in the best cherry liquor? Heering 200 It taste like a fresh cherry
