Directions
Black Beans, Sausage and Rice,My whole family enjoys this easy dish. I make it often with cornbread on the side.,I removed casing from Hatch Chili Bison Sausage, used Rotel Tomatoes with Mild Hatch Chili and Tony C’s creole seasoning, pinto beans and bone broth from my Thanksgiving turkey carcass and oh baby… SO easy and just a little kick. The only issue is that I didn’t stir it while it was simmering and my first bowl had crunchy rice which I don’t like. I went back for seconds and that rice was cooked. So definitely give it a stir at some point while its simmering to ensure all the rice gets cooked in the liquid. Otherwise I’ve got more of the Hatch sausage and will make this again this winter.,This was a very easy and tasty recipe. The use of one-pot was especially nice. used spicy sausage which came out delicious!
