Black Jamun Raita

Features:
    Cuisine:

Charishma, I made this yesterday, and it was excellent! Just the right spice and sweetness-I think next time, I may add some fresh chopped pineapple and fresh green chillies. It would be great with a chicken biryani-this is apart of my permanent recipe collection-Thanks!

Black Jamun Raita,Black jamuns are excellent to eat when one has Diabetes. They have a sharp and tangy flavour. This fruit is great for diabetics because it contains the enzyme “jamboline” which helps to control the blood sugar level. When buying jamuns, buy those which are soft and pulpy and sweet and ripe. This raita can be enjoyed with a pulao{pilaf} or as a dip with fat-free khakras. Enjoy! Note: I wanted to enter “black jamuns” instead of black grapes but the computer does not seem to recognise that fruit. Please use black jamuns for this if you are diabetic and not black grapes. If you’re not diabetic, you may also make this raita using black grapes or pomegranate seeds.,Charishma, I made this yesterday, and it was excellent!
