Boy Scout Apples, I was a girl scout and we never had these delicious apples So thanks to The Deen brothers for giving up the recipe! From their cookbook, Get Fired Up! You can substitute your favorite jam for the raspberry, just make sure it goes with apples If using salted butter(or margarine) you can eliminate the salt in the ingredients , This brought back some great memories a similar flavor profile to apples we enjoyed over the campfire in Girl Scouts The grill preparation made this very easy used the sugar/cinnamon combo this time, but love the idea of jam, which I will be sure to try! Thanks for sharing! Veggie Swap 46, A nice trip down memory lane with this recipe When we were young, I remember my mother making a similar type of dessert She just cored the apples then put in a pat of butter and then sprinkled the centers with cinnamon and sugar, I don’t think she measured the amounts, and then baked them in the oven and we loved these apples This was a great dessert after our grilled teriyaki chicken dinner Soon as we pulled off the chicken, we added the apples to the grill I added a scoop of vanilla ice cream to my apple, so yummy!!! Thanks for sharing the recipe Made for PRMR Tag game
