Brandied Yams, Southern Living, Loved it! I made this last night and I could have eaten the whole batch. I reduced the ginger slightly, added cinnamon, and omitted the pepper, just for personal preference. I love the taste of the sweet potatoes, brandy, and spices together. Will make again soon!, Lovely flavor, easy to prepare ahead and pop in the over just before dinner. I peeled the yam and cut it up before boiling so it only took a short time to cooke. This is so flavorful with out having all the sweetness that so many yam recipes have Do again for sure – Recipe was cut back to 2 lbs of yam served with ham steaks
