Breakfast Bars,These bars are great! They taste like no-bake cookies, but contain honey and natural peanut butter so they are much better for you. Add your favorite seeds, dried fruits and nut to customize your bars.,I made these yesterday for a bake sale, and I must admit that they were pretty delicious, not to mention simple to make and vegan to boot! I liked that it didn’t even require a stovetop. I improvised quite a bit and added a lot of extras: toasted shredded coconut/ground walnut blend in place of flax seeds, minced dried apricots, raisins and craisins. I also essentially approximated the measurements for the PB and honey. These were very sweet but dense, and although there were no added refined sugars, I would probably refrain from making these too often for myself because they are just too delicious and I would eat them all. Definitely a recipe to keep.,While I thought there was a bit too much flax seed in this, the kids sure didn’t complain and ate the whole thing in a day. This was an easy, no bake snack that made it into my keeper file. I think next time I will cut down on the flax seed and maybe add a bit of almond slices. I also added a small bit of mini choc. chips pressed into the top. Made for Spring Pic A Chef 09. Thanks for sharing!
