Brunswick Stew, Got this from our preacher’s wife and has got to be, hands down, the best Brunswick stew we have ever eaten used this recipe for the Thanksgiving dinner at work and took home first prize in the other category and grand prize over all , I followed this recipe exactly as it was written We liked it with one exception It seemed a little sweet for our taste I would like to hear from seasoned cooks if there is a way to cut down on the sweetness other than the obvious of leaving out the 1 tablespoon of sugar If there is a way to do this, I want to make it again for my freezer , I have made this for family and co-workers Both groups loved it The only thing I changed in the recipe was to add Lima beans I can’t wait to make this again for it is one of my favorite dishes too
