Buttermilk Biscuits and Pepper Gravy,Even though my mom came from “up north”, she really could make great biscuits and gravy. It has taken me this long to get the so called “recipe” down. She never measured anything, and as such, I had to guess at how she made them. I think I finally figured it out. So here it is. I hope you enjoy it. Prep time includes 5 minutes sitting time if you have to make your own buttermilk. Posted on October 12th 2005.,I made just the gravy portion of this recipe which tasted amazing. However I found that it was a bit too salty and way over peppered. Next time I will use only half the stated amount. Thank you for sharing.,I am not a big fan of sausage so do not often have it in the house. Someone had given me a ton of biscuits at work and I really wanted gravy. This recipe was perfect, easy and satisfying! Thanks so much!
