Buttermilk Syrup,This yummy syrup is great on German Pancake,or waffles,french toast,etc.,We had a snow day and I wanted to make Buttermilk waffles as a special treat. However we barely had enough syrup to cover one. My sister and brother in law have acres of land and tap their own tree to make syrup so we usually are spoiled with pure real maple syrup. I had never had buttermilk syrup, but I REALLY didn’t want to buy that stuff they call syrup in the grocery store. We were surprised at how good this was. I think it may be our saving grace until this seasons maple syrup is made. My only word of caution, make sure your pot is bigger than you think you will need or you will have a mess because it does expand and foam up.,This was very good. I’m not sure about the name of the recipe…since it ends up as a caramel syrup 🙂 Definitely yummy as a dessert topping. Thanks for sharing. It was easy to make and I always have these ingredients on hand. Will agree with others to make sure you use a nice deep sauce pot or chance it boiling over…

Bring to Boil and Cook For 7 Minutes (mixture Will Foam), Stirring to Prevent Scorching. |
