Calico Beans Baked Beans W/ 3 Kinds Of Beans

Features:
    Cuisine:

This is a great base recipe. The flavor is fantastic but I didn't like the original proportions. I grew up with calico beans being beans with some meat thrown in, but this recipe was more like hamburger with a few beans thrown in. I ended up doubling all the beans that were used, and to compensate used about 1.5x the amount of flavorings that were called for. Except for the vinegar. I really don't love vinegar so I left that at 2 tsp. I also used a full pack of bacon. And then cooked it all in the same skillet. Cooked the bacon, set it aside and drained the pan, cooked the beef, drained it again, then threw everything together and cooked over medium-low heat for 30-40 minutes. It tasted wonderful.
