Canelazo – Spiced Cinnamon Rum Drink, Canelazo is a drink that will warm you up on a cold night high in the Ecuadorian mountains It’s made from brown sugar, cinnamon and cloves, orange and lime juice, and the fiery concoction known as aguardiente (or fire water ) Aguardiente is a broad term for high alcohol content beverages distilled from different things The kind they enjoy in South America is made from cane sugar, so rum makes a great substitute if you can’t find aguardiente , Very nice! This tastes almost like a spiked tea It’s not too strong, but it really warms you up The spices and sweetness were spot-on , Wow, was this good I enjoyed it very much The flavors were excellent and the spices spot on What a lovely treat on this cold rainy day It warmed me up inside and out I will definitely make this again Thank you for sharing Anna made for ZWT-7 Tour of Central/South America (witchen kitchen)
