Cheesy Appetizer

Features:
  • Gluten Free
Cuisine:

I loved the flavor of these. I only used 3 tomatoes that were medium small and removed the seeds and I still had way too much filling. I wonder if the recipe should use both puff pastry sheets. I will definately make them again and either half the recipe or use the filling on both sheets.

Steps

1
Done

Unfold One Thawed Sheet of Puff Pastry Dough on a Sheet of Clear Plastic Wrap or Waxed Paper.

2
Done

Dice the Four Tomatoes Into Small Pieces(i Usually Slice the Tomato in Half and Slightly Squeeze the Tomato Before I Dice It So That It Isn't Too Juicy. That's Up to You.).

3
Done

Put the Diced Tomatoes Into a Medium Sized Mixing Bowl.

4
Done

Tear the 8 Basil Leaves Into Small Pieces and Add Them to the Same Bowl.

5
Done

Add the Remaining Ingredients to the Same Bowl.

6
Done

Using a Spoon, Mix All the Ingredients Together.

7
Done

Spread the Mixture on the Puff Pastry Dough Making Sure It Is Even and to the Edges.

8
Done

Choose the Edge Closest to You and Roll the Dough Up So That It Is in One Tight Roll.

9
Done

Seal the Long Edge by Pressing.

10
Done

Chill in the Refrigerator For About 15 Minutes (you Do not Have to Do This. I Just Find It's Easier to Slice and Easier to Prepare Ahead of Time and Have Ready to Slice and Cook Whenever I Am.).

11
Done

When Ready to Cook, Just Slice the Roll Into 1/2 Inch Slices and Place Them on a Parchment Lined Cookie Sheet.

12
Done

Cook in a 425 Degree Oven For 15 Minutes.
