Cherry Chocolate Kiss Cookies – Valentine Kisses, These cookies are similar to Peanut Butter Blossoms, but are cherry cookies instead of peanut butter I like to make them for Valentine’s Day– and call them Valentine Kisses There are many variations– you can use make the dough and use white or semi-sweet chocolate chips or use mini-kisses for smaller bite size cookies The dough can be rolled in plain sugar, or red decorator sugar for an extra festive look , While I really liked these cookies, the dough was kind of doughy Reminds me (with the powdered sugar) of a melting moments recipe minus the cornstarch Next time I make them I am going to use 1 cup of flour and 1 1/4 cups of Corn Starch and see how that works I also did NOT roll in sugar , When i was desperate to come up with themed food items for our Mustache Bash, I whipped these up with shaved chocolate on the cookie, in addition to the kiss and renamed them ‘a Hariy Kiss’
