    I have a sweet black cherry tree. Found this recipe last year as i wanted to make my own cherry comstock. Absolutely perfect. Came back to this recipe this year to make lots and lots, some today, some for Thanksgiving dinner. Thank you for this recipe. Note to self, 250 g=1 cup

As recommended by other reviewers, I added 1/2 tsp of almond extract & used cherry juice in place of the water

    In a Saucepan, Cook Cherries in Water For 10 Minutes. Mix Together the Sugar and Cornstarch; Add to Cherries. Cook Cherry Mixture Until Thickened. Cool Slightly Before Using to Fill Pie Shell or Other Dessert.
