Chicken and Dumplings Like Cracker Barrel’s, This tastes just like Cracker Barrel’s, if you have ever tried it. From book “Old Fashioned Country Cooking” found at Cracker Barrel., The only changes I made were 1. Doubling the dumpling recipe, since my daughter loves them and 2. Adding a slurry of 3/4 cup cold milk and 2 Tbsp corn starch at the end and simmering for 2 minutes, since CB’s recipe has a slightly creamy sauce. It turned out great!, This was very tasty and pretty close to CB’s version!
