Chocolate Cake- Mix Cherry Cookies

Features:
    Cuisine:

I made 10 different kinds of cookies yesterday and these were by far the winner! Did not garnish them with chocolate. Also swapped out almond extract for the liqueur, but I think next time I will only use 1/2 tbsp. Also cut my cherries in half. UPDATE: I made these again today for a bake sale and used amarena cherries in place of the dried. I prefer this recipe with the tart dried cherry to be honest. If you are using amarena cherries in this recipe, I recommend that you increase it to 3/4 cup from 1/2 cup.

Chocolate Cake-Mix Cherry Cookies,These are soft chewy, chocolate covered cherry cookies! Drizzled with white and semi sweet chocolate. Quick and easy to make and eat!,I made 10 different kinds of cookies yesterday and these were by far the winner! Did not garnish them with chocolate. If you are using amarena cherries in this recipe, I recommend that you increase it to 3/4 cup from 1/2 cup.,I have several pounds of dried cherries and wanted to find a good cookie recipe for the holidays to use them up. My sig. other is diabetic so I thought I’d give this recipe a try using the Pillsbury sugar free devil’s food mix–turned out amazing! Everyone loved it and you would never guess it is sugar free. Mine were a cross between a brownie and a cookie. I added a heaping tablespoon of cocoa powder and omitted the chocolate drizzle. used a tablespoon of almond extract the first time around and it was way too much for my taste, one tsp of almond and two tsps of vanilla turned out perfect. These were so popular they are going into the christmas baskets this year!
