Chocolate Dream Pie, Very elegant and luscious, this is my long-time favorite pie! It’s wonderful made with Hershey’s Special Dark Chips, but any chocolate chips will do just fine. Plan on making the pie early in the day or the night before so that it has enough time to chill. Enjoy!, I took this to a picnic where it got rave reviews. The store-bought chocolate crumb crust used was a bit too small for the amount of filling, which was no problem since my daughters gladly helped me eat what didn’t fit. The prep was quick and easy, but I must admit that the until the chips began to melt I had serious doubts about the instructions. What looked like a mess finally melted and thickened into a rich chocolate pudding. I have seen the same recipe with 1 1/2 cups of heavy cream whipped which yields about 3 cups of whipped cream in place of the cool whip. I’m going to try that next time. Excellent pie!, This was so easy and so creamy and delicious ! Everyone really enjoyed this pie !
