Surprise Kisses, I received this recipe back when I was in the 7th grade in my homemaking class and I have somehow managed to keep it this long I guess the recipe is just that good I make these cookies for Thanksgiving and Christmas and if I even think about skipping one year I get in trouble from my husband and friends!, These are great! I only used 2 cups of flour and added chopped almonds since that’s what I had at home It went really well with dark chocolate kisses I did only get about 3 dozen cookies out of this, though, and used measured tbsp of dough, probably because I didn’t use as much flour though Thanks for sharing!, These were awesome cookies as they combine the great aspects of russian teacakes (or whatever you may call them) and chocolate I found that 2 cups of flour worked for me and that one could easily round the dough around the kiss without having to try and round, flatten, bring up the sides, etc The only strange thing was that my cookies did not come out round but instead flattened on the bottom I am not sure if it was because I did not round them enough so that they did not shift or what Another note is that I did not get anywhere close to 5 dozen cookies with this recipe which was fine with me though These tasted great warm as the chocolate melted in your mouth, thanks for the treat!
