Chocolatier Classic Chocolate Cake and Creamy Chocolate Frosting, This recipe comes from inside the wrapper of a Nestle Chocolatier Premium Baking Chocolate, Dark Chocolate 53% Cacao Bar Preparation time does not include time to cool down before frosting the cake , A VERY DELISH OF A CAKE!!! Made this in a 13×9 pan for darling wife b day, and SOOOOO chocalatey We loved the moistness, texture, and definately the chocolate flavor Keeping this one Made for Gimme 5 !!, I had a different cake recipe so just made the frosting I too had to make extra to cover a 2-layer cake, but it was AWESOME I did add a touch of whipped cream to make it a little more spreadable, since I’m frosting-application-challenged Thanks Syd!

Preheat Oven to 350 Degrees F, Then Grease & Flour Two 9" Round Baking Pans or One 13"x9" Baking Pan. |

For the Cake, in Small Bowl, Whisk Together Flour, Baking Soda & Salt. |

Alternately Beat Flour Mixture & Milk Into Butter Mixture. |

Spoon & Spread Into Prepared Baking Pan(s). |

Bake 25-30 Minutes For the Two Round Pans, or 30-32 Minutes For the 13"x9" Pan, or Until Toothpick Inserted in Center Comes Out Clean. |

For the Frosting, Microwave Butter & Chocolate in Small, Uncovered, Microwave-Safe Mixer Bowl on High (100%) Power For 45 Seconds. |

Stir, & If Parts Remain Unmelted, Microwave at Additional 10- to 15-Second Intervals, Stirring Just Until Smooth. |
