Chunky Apple Cinnamon Syrup,This makes a great waffle or pancake topping and is especially great on French toast and even ice cream, use it with whatever you want!,This is my “go-to” recipe for any time I run out of maple syrup for pancakes or French toast. Originally found it in a “Taste of Home” collection from 1994 called “Cookin’ Up Country Breakfasts.” The only change I make from the original recipe (and as written above) is to double the cinnamon and add a bit of vanilla if I have it. This is really good over ice cream as well as a yummy filling for coffee cake or apple spice muffins.

In a Saucepan, Bring Brown Sugar, Water, Butter, Cornstarch and Cinnamon to a Boil; Boil Until Thick (about 2 Minutes). |
