Chunky Apple Spice Cake With Vanilla Butter Sauce, This cake is good, I mean REALLY GOOD If you use real vanilla extract the flavor is amazing I have had a friend just pick at an entire meal because she knew I was serving this for dessert , Delicious! Used mixed nuts, currants, and subbed a mix of cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg & dash of ground cloves for allspice(all out lol) Will use 3/4 the sugar next time, my daughter (?!) felt it was too sweet My husband and I loved it, great use for apples too far gone to eat plain Shredded carrot may accidentally end up in the next batch ??, This cake came together in no time at all, and was so good! It brought a little autumn to summer The sauce was delicious, and I think next time I’ll add ice cream on top just like a previous reviewer suggested!
