Cinnamon Apple Syrup from Peel, This is a yummy way to use up apple peels I like to cook apples during the fall to freeze for a winter side dish I always hated throwing away the peelings I modified a recipe that I found online until I got a consistancy and flavor that I am happy with I enjoy using tart apples like Cortland or Winesap My whole family loves this syrup It is especially tasty when poured over Cinnamon Pecan Pancakes 🙂 I love to have this simmering on the stove, it makes the house smell wonderful!, This was great and made enough for our pancakes with Santa at our school I froze it and we thawed it at room temperature and heated up in a crockpot The kids loved it Thank you!! made from something I would have probably thrown away and some sugar , This was amazing! We put it on pancakes and french toast I cannot believe how simple it was The cooking took a lot longer than I expected, but I’m SO glad I found this recipe used about 2 teaspoons of cinnamon for half of the recipe because it didn’t specify how much, and it turned out fabulous
