Citrus French Toast, If you don’t have self rising flour, use plain and add 1/2 teaspoon baking powder, and if calories are not an issue, use some more butter or margarine for frying, it makes it even nicer and more like cake Serve with honey or syrup , I was looking for a citrus French toast after having the best ever at a restaurant This was easy to make and so yummy!!!! used a cranberry walnut bread that I cut 1/2-3/4 inch thick and dried it for 6 hours on the counter before using I soaked each slice for at least 30 seconds on each side according to (Alto Brown) I will never be able to go back to any recipe that is ordinary ever again My husband gave it 5 stars also I doubled the recipe after reading other comments and that was perfect for 10 slices Susan
