Tourtiere Tarts, Tourtiere is a French Canadian meat pie that is traditionally served on Christmas Eve I first ever had these at the home of a French Canadian friend I have been making them at Christmas time as a make ahead appetizer for years now It can be made into one individual pie, but I prefer the individual tarts I freeze these individually on cookie sheets and then vacuum seal in my bagger or can be stored in a plastic container , What did you use for your tart shells? Did I miss something listed in the recipe? Trying to find a most efficient method as I don’t have time to make homemade crust , This is the recipe use, very good! I mix hash brown potatoes instead of mashed The chunky kind As well I add 1-2 tsp of cloves Adjust to taste I make tats and pies depending on what I’m serving them for
