Rum Balls, This is from one of my favorite cookbooks, The Encyclopedia of Creative Cooking, edited by Charlotte Turgeon. When I was married, I made these for one of my ex’s Oddfellow meetings. They went over quite well. Then I sent the recipe to a friend, who had his first batch…’appropriated.’ The rum balls will keep several weeks in an airtight container, but I’ve never had them last that long. It’s a simple and easy recipe to make, and goes well in both high-class and casual situations. Enjoy!, I just made these. I live in Tasmania and they dont have vanilla wafers so used coffee milk bisquits and butter shortbread cookies. I didnt have cocoa powder so i omitted it in the first batch and put it in the second. Wow both are great.. and Easy.. but make alot cause ya paws are gonna get into it..and so is the partner., I tried it and these are fantastic! At my husband’s urging, used leftover brownie that I’d made a few days before. Broke them into pieces and followed the receipe exactly. Completely and totally beyond DELISH!! Thanks for posting!!
