Cocktail Sauce Without Horseradish,I started making this years ago because I don’t like horseradish. It dawned on me today that I had never posted this simple recipe. The chilling time is optional. I have used it many times immediately after mixing. Chilling just blends the flavors a little more. Cooking time is chilling time.,Made it because I had no horseradish. A little less chili powder, a dash of hot sauce and lime because I had no lemon. It was really good.,I had a last minute shrimp boil, but had no cocktail sauce or the horseradish to make it. I found this recipe and it came out very good. Very simple to make ahead of time. Before eating the shrimp, I kept the sauce in the frig to give the flavors time to blend. We found the spice was very good, but some might want to add red pepper or hot sauce to kick it up a notch.
