Coney Island Chili Dog Sauce, After countless searches for a good Coney Island sauce, I stumbled on this one at another cooking website Most recipes I had tried were just too sweet, this is a good Midwest-style Coney sauce I didn’t follow the measurements to the letter – just eyeballed it; and I added a couple dashes of hot sauce to kick up the heat a bit , used 3 tbsp better than bullion beef and 3 cups boiling water used 1/2 tbsp dry mustard rather than yellow prepared I swapped Bragg’s Amino Acid for Worcestershire used 2 tbsp fresh ground ancho chile pepper in addition to 2 tbsp traditional chili powder I bloomed the spices and cooked the rawness out of the tomato paste before simmering for an hour , used all the ingredients but amped up the spices and Worcestershire Added 3 cups of beef broth, a cup at a time and reduced So yummy!!
