2 fresh jalapeno peppers, with seeds,minced
1/4 cup white vinegar
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon dried onion flakes
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

    Copycat Pace Picante Sauce,Save a lot of money making salsa at home rather than buying it by the bottle in the stores! This salsa freezes well.,A jar of chunky tomatoes would be better than sauce. Just blend it slightly.,I just made this and what I ended up with was equivalent to the mild picante sauce. Cooking jalapeos takes the heat out of them. Next time I will add the jalapeos closer to the end of the cooking time so it will be hotter. I will also cut the water by half to reduce the cooking time. The onions will still have plenty of time to cook. I may even try using 1/2 tomato sauce and 1/2 diced tomatoes to get a chunkier sauce.

    Bring All Ingredients to a Boil in Saucepan Over Med-High Heat.

    Reduce Heat and Simmer For 30 Minutes or Until Thick.

    Remove from Heat and Cool.

    Store in an Airtight Jar in Refrigerator Until Serving.
