Couldn’t Be Easier Slow Cooker Bread, A fluffy, moist wheat and oat bread with a crisp crust Perfect for baking bread without an oven in the summer , Do you keep foil on while baking?, This was my first time making break using the slow cooker and I think it turned it out pretty well Modifications: I did make a few minor adjustments to the recipe simply because of what I had I on hand (maple syrup instead of honey, flax meal instead of wheat germ, about a 1/4 cup of spelt flour, and about a tablespoon of chia seeds) The Process: As far as the process, I think this was a good a test of my spatial reasoning skills (or lack thereof), but I ended up using an 7×5 pyrex dish in an 8 qt crock pot Like a previous reviewer, used a mason jar ring to set the bread dish on while it was cooking I also creased the foil to make a sort-of tent-like covering over the bread Overall: The bread rose beautifully and came out with a nice outer crust and moist inside I will definitely use this recipe again as I think it will be a great method to use in the summer I highly reccommend this recipe!
