Country Fried Steak Casserole, Fried cubed steak pieces smothered in onions and a rich brown soup-based gravy!!!, This is delicious! I only used 1 1/4 lbs of cubed steak, but prepared the amount of gravy listed I also added less water for a thicker consistency and skipped the onion I seasoned the meat liberally before frying, then baked the casserole for 2 1/2 hours and it was out-of-this world melt-in our-mouths tender! We enjoyed it with homemade mashed potatoes and peas, but I’m thinking it would also be terrific with dumplings or gnocchi, wide egg noodles, or freshly-baked buttermilk biscuits to soak up all that yummy gravy If you love Country Fried Steak, do try this-you won’t be disappointed Thank you Chef, for sharing such a fabulous recipe , Wow! The sauce this made was so incredibly good I was eating leftovers plain with a spoon Increadible keeper recipe This will be a regular now in our home The steak was yummy and the final results of the whole dish was worth 10 stars I encourage all to try it
