Cream Cheese Cut-Out Cookies,I love this recipe because it is so easy to roll out, and the taste is great. This is our favorite Christmas cookie recipe to make, but I also make them for Easter and Halloween. Sometimes I ice them or just sprinkle with colored sugar while they bake. I always double this recipe for us.,Why margarine instead of butter?,Not a fan of these at all. It feels (and tastes) like the cream cheese is a token ingredient rather than a featured taste. These had no tang AT ALL. I’ve made cream cheese cut outs before, but after moving couldn’t find my recipe. I tried this one…I rolled out one portion of the dough, popped it in the oven and chucked the rest after taste testing. There is another recipe here that uses 8 oz of cream cheese that turned out MUCH better in terms of cream cheesy payoff.
