Crisco’s Super Crisp Country Fried Chicken,From the Crisco website.,My grandmother made this chicken all of the time and this recipe was a tad different than hers. I wrote hers down yrs ago and couldn’t find it. Well, I found her recipe the other day and it called for 2 tsp of black pepper and 3/4 tsp of poultry seasoning. That may be the difference. She never used the accent as someone else suggested but I think I will try that once. I loved her fried chicken, thank you for inspiring me to make it again!! Also, I have made this chicken in an air fryer! It turns out crispy and moist! I have an oil sprayer/mister and just misted both sides of the chicken coating with oil before cooking. It was so good! Combine Milk and Egg in Medium Bowl; Set Aside. |

Combine Flour, Garlic Salt, Paprika, Pepper and Poultry Seasoning in Paper or Plastic Bag. Add a Few Pieces of Chicken at a Time. Shake to Coat. |

Dip Chicken in Milk-Egg Mixture. Shake Second Time in Flour Mixture. Skillet or Deep Fry in Crisco (see Below). |

to Skillet Fry, Heat 1/2 to 1-Inch Crisco to 365 in Electric or in Large Heavy Skillet on Medium-High Heat. Brown Chicken on All Sides. Reduce Heat to 275 or Medium-Low Heat. Continue Cooking Until Chicken Is Tender About 30-40 Minutes. Do not Cover. Turn Chicken Several Times During Cooking. Drain on Paper Towels. |
