Crock Pot Apple Butter,This is just one of my comfort foods. I love it slathered on homemade biscuits. MMMMmmmm…so good.,I have made this recipe in 2018, 2019 and 2020. I have made small variations. In 2020 used Johnathan apples, they are tart. used a 2 to 1 ratio of brown sugar to white sugar. I also have added a dash of nutmeg and all spice each year. This is about as perfect as you can make it!

Place Apples in a Large Bowl. |

Combine Sugar, Cinnamon, Cloves and Salt. |

Pour Over Apples and Mix Well. |

Place in Crock Pot, Cover and Cook on High For 1 Hour. |

Decrease Heat to Low; Cover and Cook on Low For 9-11 Hours or Until Thickened and Dark Brown. |
