Crock Pot Goulash,Seems like everyone in the Midwest has a recipe for goulash that has nothing to do with the Hungarian kind. This was my mom’s recipe, which I adapted for the crock pot after living in a apartment with an unruly oven that would set off the smoke alarm no matter how often I cleaned it. This is a very simple recipe, but it’s my brother’s favorite meal in the world (thus I make it for him every Christmas Eve). Good with garlic-cheese bread.,I’d like to beg to differ on a ‘traditional’ sauce. I am of Italian descent and Ragu is an insult to the tomato sauce world (and Italians!). It is merely watered-down ketchup. Buy a can of crushed tomatoes at Walmart for $0.99 or a can of diced for the same price if you want some texture. Or possibly spend a bit more for a jar of Classico, which I’ve used in a pinch or when I have felt a little lazy and didn’t want the tiny bit of extra work. Don’t cheapen a potentially good meal by ruining it with ketchup. LOL,How much Worcestershire sauce did you use?
