Dawn Hornsby’s Unusual Green Bean Casserole, My mom used to make this all the time She would experiment with all types of food and in turn, her creations were wonderful!! Though, I do not know if this is one of her original recipes but it was handwritten in her notebook of recipes that was given to me at the time of her death , I made this for Thanksgiving yesterday, and my guests all thought it was very good The frozen beans stay firm and a nice bright green (as opposed to the gray/green color of canned beans) and the water chestnuts, which I julienned, added a nice crispiness to each mouthful Will definitely make again , I am so sorry to give this a poor rating I love all the ingredients in this dish, but it just did not jive with me, or anyone else I served this at a potluck of 10 people and no one liked it
