I love this stew! It has a delicious, wonderful flavor! used round steak that I cut up into 1-inch pieces and cut the carrots into about 3/4-inch chunks and added a can of mushroom pieces. i cooked it in the slow cooker for 4 hours on HIGH ( you could also cook it on LOW for 8 hours). Highly recommended! Made for Fall Pick-A-Chef 2012.

Delicious Game Day Beef Stew,This recipe comes from a college football coach’s wife who made this every home game. I tried it and fell in absolute love. It is incredible! You can either make this in your crock pot or put it in the oven in a stew pot. This recipe can EASILY be doubled or tripled depending on the size of your family or crowd!,I love this stew! Only think I might change is to use one mushroom, and maybe one cream of celery soup, because my kids aren’t too mushroom keen. That said, the soup didn’t give it too much of a mushroom taste. I didn’t think it would color much, but after 5 hours in the oven, it came out a nice brown stew-y color. Thanks SaraBellaBean!
