Delicious Roasted Beef Ribs, I have always preferred my beef ribs grilled that is until I tried this slow long roasting method — prep time includes marinating time., Terrific! I did as I always do, look for a recipe that makes my taste buds sing and then add or delete ingredients as it suits my personal preferences. This recipe looked fantastic for my love of big bold flavours I don’t do simple and subtle lol. I had 1kg of beef ribs double for this recipe, so thought about doubling the marinade but pleased that I didn’t as it made heaps! Even had lots left over, so I froze it. I only used half the amount of maple syrup and used a tin of condensed tomato soup instead of the ketchup to lower the amount of carbs and sugar. I also added a chipotle pepper in a spoonful of adobe sauce for some smoky flavour. The ribs were to die for – tender and melt in the mouth beef! Will be a fav in our house! Oh, and Mike.mzman – I’m not an accomplished cook as you seem to think you are, but when I look for a recipe I generally read the list of ingredients to ensure that they are suited to my taste. The ketchup and the amount was the first named ingredient in this recipe, so why did you bother trying it in the first place? Just sayin’.. ??

In a Medium Bowl, Combine All Ingredients, Except the Beef, and Adjust Seasonings to Taste the Sauce Should Have a Good Balance of Sweet and Savory Flavors. |

Place the Ribs in a Large Bowl, and Coat With the Sauce. |

Cover, and Refrigerate For 2 Hours or as Long as 48 Hours, Turning the Ribs Every So Often. |

Preheat the Oven to 325f. |

Drain the Ribs Reserving the Sauce, and Place Them in a Large Roasting Pan, Bone-Side Down. |

Brush With Sauce, and Bake For 30 Minutes. |

Remove from Oven, and Turn the Ribs Over, Brush With Additional Sauce, Bake For Another 30 Minutes. |

Turn One More Time, Brush With the Remaining Sauce, and Bake For Another 35-40 Minutes, or Until Ribs Are Tender, Basting Every So Often. |
