Deliciously Smooth Southern Sweet Potato Pie Recipe

    I was wanting a pumpkin pie, and my can of pumpkin turned out to be yams. I drained the yams, mashed in the kitchen aid and measured out 2 cups. I doubled the spices and followed the directions. It was great !! Now my family wants more. I will use sweet potatoes, just to see if anyone notices the difference.

    In a Mixing Bowl, Cream Butter and Sugar.

    Add Eggs; Mix Well.

    Add Milk, Sweet Potatoes, Vanilla, Cinnamon, Nutmeg, and Salt; Mix Well.

    Pour Into Pie Shell.

    Bake at 425 Degrees For 15 Minutes.

    Reduce Heat to 350 Degrees; Bake 35-40 Minutes Longer or Until Pie Tests Done.
