Easy Crockpot French Dip

Features:
    Cuisine:

I made this tonight using thin-slice bottom round steaks and (beef) consomme. Because of the onion soup mix, I added no other seasonings. I did however need to use up a Vidalia, so I sliced it and added the rings to the pot. I let it cook on low in the crock for close to 12 hrs, stirring and rearranging the meat 2-3 times. I have to say, this is amazingly simple and fantastically delicious. The meat really had flavor and was ever so tender. I put it on whole wheat sub buns with deli-sliced Swiss and dipped into the broth from the crock. Definitely a keeper and will be making again!
